Who and what may enter
Enter and pay for each wine separately. Direct delivery, consolidated shipping and trade-show drop-off have distinct dates and charges.
Limits and exclusions
The entry must meet the selected edition, category, eligibility and intellectual-property requirements.

Entry materials

Physical samples required
Confirm the applicable stage, quantity, specification, receiving address and route before dispatch. Use the current official notice; an organiser’s office address is not automatically a sample warehouse.
- Quantity and specification
- Three bottles per wine, with official bottle/box labels and transport-safe packaging.
- Delivery
- 2027 consolidation drop-off: early 29 January, regular 26 February, late 5 March. Late service serves only specified countries. Direct warehouse receipt closes 15 March. Use the selected route's drop-off point and labels.
- Costs and responsibilities
- Consolidated shipping and wine entry are separate. GBP 0 direct receipt does not make international freight or tax free. Check delivery to consolidation, international transport, import and insurance with the local agent/carrier.
- Return and retention
- The reviewed rules do not fully explain return, retention or disposal. Confirm whether return is available, collection deadlines and costs before dispatch.

Assessment and recognition
How entries are assessed
Professional wine judges use staged blind tasting and the official scoring and review procedures to award medals.
Recognition and permitted use
Winning wines enter Decanter's results system and may obtain certificates and corresponding medal materials under the relevant rules.

This is an independently maintained reference record. The organiser’s current rules govern eligibility, deadlines, charges and the award decision. The review date describes source verification, not a new publication of organiser rules.
