Sources and Data Verification

How programme records preserve the relationship between official evidence, editions, routes, dates and charges.

Source priority

Research prioritises the organiser’s current rules, official entry pages, fee schedules and notices. Each programme links to its sources and identifies when they were reviewed. Translations explain the recorded information; the source remains the authority.

Independent programmes and editions

Independent programmes retain separate records even where they share a brand. Categories, applicant rates, delivery routes and entry windows are not automatically counted as new awards. Older editions remain identified as older editions.

Date precision

A day, month, period, approximation and conflicting date have different meanings. A time or time zone is not invented. Registration, payment, dispatch, arrival, judging and announcement are recorded as separate actions.

Fees and conditions

Amounts retain original currencies, tax treatment, stage, unit and applicant conditions. Alternative packages and settlement currencies are not summed. Free is an explicit zero; an unpublished amount remains unknown or requires a quote.

Status and review dates

A future deadline alone does not prove that entries are open. Status also depends on the edition information and elapsed closing boundaries. A source-review date is not automatically changed when the site is published.

Classification and corrections
