An assessment of engineering, design and innovation in consumer technology. Honoree and Best of Innovation are distinct levels; discounted fees require both exhibitor and member eligibility.
Eligibility and scope
Who and what may enter
First market availability must fall between 2026-04-01 and 2027-03-31. New versions require significant innovative improvements. Exhibiting at CES is not mandatory for entry.
Limits and exclusions
The entry must meet the selected edition, category, eligibility and intellectual-property requirements.

Entry materials
- All application materials in English; audiovisual material requires English description or subtitles.
- Explanations and evidence on engineering/function, appearance/design and distinctive innovation.
Samples depend on category or progression
Confirm the applicable stage, quantity, specification, receiving address and route before dispatch. Use the current official notice; an organiser’s office address is not automatically a sample warehouse.
- Quantity and specification
- Physical-display quantities, specifications and functional requirements follow the formal selection/display notice.
- Delivery
- The reviewed 2027 application information gives no universal judging-sample address or date. Do not independently ship to CTA or exhibition offices.
- Costs and responsibilities
- The reviewed public rules do not fully assign freight, import tax, insurance and return costs. Confirm responsibilities with organiser and carrier before shipping; these are not assumed free or included in entry.
- Return and retention
- The reviewed rules do not fully explain return, retention or disposal. Confirm whether return is available, collection deadlines and costs before dispatch.

Third-party industry experts assess engineering/function, design aesthetics and distinctive innovation. CTA does not provide individual scores or feedback.
Recognition and permitted use
Year- and level-specific mark, trophy and official promotion; CES showcase participation additionally requires exhibitor eligibility.
